We
announce the opening of a post-doctoral position awarded by the Dreyfus
Foundation's Postdoctoral Program in Environmental Chemistry. To apply,
please send your CV and arrange to have two letters of recommendation
sent by email to Susan.Beach@yale.edu. Yale is an affirmative
action/equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from
qualified women and minority group members.
Suitable candidates are expected to have a strong background in one of
the four areas of research expertise required for this project,
including Theoretical and Computational Methods, Electrochemistry,
Design and Synthesis, or Spectroscopy. The new post-doc will have an
opportunity to work with multiple PI’s and gain interdisciplinary
research training. Our mission is to impart to our trainees the
intellectual and practical skills needed to address the urgent energy
challenges of the twenty-first century, gaining experience relevant to
both academic and nonacademic careers and to engage in strong
collaborations with national laboratories and industries early in their
research careers. We aspire to succeed in producing researchers with
training in the emerging fields of chemistry related to the sustainable
production of chemical fuels, and in the fundamentals on which they are
grounded to push at the frontiers of interdisciplinary programs in
alternative energy and become future leaders of the field.
