Postdoctoral Advisory Committee

Women in Science at Yale (WISAY) is a group of over two-hundred and fifty undergraduate, graduate, and post doctoral fellows who are interested in issues related to science, often ones pertaining to women in science. WISAY was founded in 1999 by three graduate students who wanted to create a forum for females in all disciplines of science. Their goal is to advance science through networking, mentoring, and supporting women in science. Please visit Women in Science at Yale for more information.

Career Development The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs offers workshops and lectures on Career Development, a Postdoctoral Travel Fund, and provides assistance in the preparation of curriculum vitae and cover letters. McDougal Center: Graduate Career Services (GCS) within the McDougal Center offers comprehensive career services to students and alumni/ae of Yale’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, as well as postdoctoral fellows and associates.

Grant Writing Assistance Yale's office for Grant and Contract Administration maintains searchable databases with information on funding opportunities. The information includes funding for postdoctoral fellowships and postdoctoral-faculty transition grants, as well as standard research grants available to faculty. The office also offers programs to train investigators in the use of these resources and can also help with searches. Their website maintains links to funding agencies, information on internal grant competitions, information on grant preparation and review, links to Yale policies, and links to resources for scientists seeking funding. They also offer annual workshops on seeking funding, applying for grants, and preparing postdoctoral fellowship applications.
